About Aya

I am a certified psychotherapist and NLP master coach.

In my coaching and therapy sessions, I also utilise the knowledge I have built up through intensive self-development work.

Some of the methods I have benefitted from in my own process includes:
Meditation, yoga, thought field therapy, shadow work, body SDS, trauma release exercises, and, of course, NLP and psychotherapy.

One of the things that motivate me the most as a coach and therapist is that I know how life-changing the right support and tools can be when presented through a trusting relationship.

HOW IT BEGAN..

It was definitely not a given that I should be a psychotherapist or a coach.

I was initially a classic singer, educated at the Danish National Academy of Music.

However, what started as some single therapy sessions to work with stage frights, suddenly opened for a waterfall of feelings below the surface. Feelings that I had avoided facing through my performance and focus on becoming as skilled as possible.

It became the start of a journey to find my authentic self, underneath all the survival and coping strategies I had taught myself. That journey is not over yet. But I found the value of pausing and see what is really important to me. I also realised that I wanted something else than being a classic singer full time. I still have music in my life, but in a way that now brings greater joy than before.

From my own life, I know how hard it can be to face challenges that feel so overwhelming that you doubt there is a way out. It is my deepest wish that no one is alone in going through that.

On my journey, I have met people that helped me find hope and possibilities, even when it felt like there weren’t any. That is what I am passionate to pass on through my own coaching and therapy. I want to pass on the tools that I have experienced the effects of in my own life.

I know that it can sometimes be hard to work on yourself, but it is also an effort that pays itself off many times over.
